Bag and Tag!

       Last night we wrapped the robot in the bag! The robot is all ready to go on its journey to Finger Lakes, but that does not mean we are done yet! We are still brainstorming on mascot ideas, finishing up the Chairman's, and constructing the bumpers for the robot. There is also a competition between the students on who is to become the driver. The competition will consist of a written test and a test drive. It will be held on Saturday.

Crunch Time

Only three to four days left!

Well, our build team still has a lot of work ahead of them, putting all the pieces and components together!

Upstairs, the Chairman's paper and presentation is starting to come together. The goal is to have the paper completed by tomorrow.

There was an error found on one of our button designs, so now about fifty button cut-outs are being strapped.

The safety binder is being updated with more safety-ness. A map was added of the location so that students know where to exit in case of an emergency.

The business paln is also being updated with new sponsors and new creative saving techniques. We hope to have it completed by the end of tomorrow as well. 

Speaking of tomorrow, the meeting will probably be extended longer than last week. Remember to bring in snacks and drinks! Its gonna be a long day!

....Aaand I think that's it! all that is going on today! I'll add anything if something turns up!

REMINDERS!!

TEAM MEMBERS:

1.  There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, February 26 at 6:30 pm.  If you do not attend, you will be unable to travel with the team!

2.  Also, this weekend will be long work sessions.  We will again have lunch and are asking that more drinks and snack be brought in by students. If you are a picky eater, bring your lunch.  I anticipate that we will be working longer than last week as we need to bag our robot on Tuesday, Feb 19th at midnight.

3.  If you have not been at a meeting for a while, remember attendance is required to go to any regional competition with the team.

4.  All travel money is due this Friday, Feb. 15th.

5.  Meetings after the robot is bagged will depend on what is left to do.  Please keep your evenings free.



I know it isn't as interesting as it normally is, but hey! In about two weeks we will be off competing with fellow FIRST teams from all over!

EIGHT MORE DAYS!!!

.....I believe it is eight more days until Bag-n-Tag!

The robot is carefully being assembled by our amazing build team!

The Chairman's paper and Executive summaries are being completed and hopefully will be finished soon!!

The blog is still going on, so do please comment!

T-shirts were ordered today and the Rochestor lunches were placed. Soon enough, our robot will be competing against other fellow FIRST teams! 0w0

Frame Finally Came

               Our frame finally came in today. It is now crunch time for FIRST Team 156. We are working very hard on our framing and wench for the robot. The team is working hard to get everything done. We are now entering into the final week of build. Let's have a great season. :)

Quick Update:

The programers are working on a few problems with the robot (grr....) So hopefully that will be sorted out soon!

A group of members are working on figuring out how to connect the picking-up mechanism to the robot.

Upstairs, the Chairman's people are working on the short 500 character essays and we are hoping to finish most of them today.

New button designs are being made. Hopefully they will be uploaded here for all you to critic and give your opinion. The confirmed button designs are already being processed into the final buttons!

MASCOT IDEAS! We are currently coming up with a mew mascot, but we need ideas! If you have a suggestion, please leave a comment below. A trio of members are currently developing plans and ideas, but suggestions are helpful!

Remeber to turn in lunch order forms and t-shirt money! Turn them in to Mrs. Bacik asap! You all need a shirt! There are new sponsors on them, so this is a MUST! Lunch orders and money is not required; there is a snack bar in the arena, but you are NOT allowed to bring in food or beverages! These are FIRST guidelines and they must be followed! There are too many of these: ! !! Anywho, if you are planning to eat a boxed lunch, bring in your money; you can get a drink, sandwich, fruit, chips and cookie, or a cheaper lunch which consists of a snadwich, drink, and I think chips. Maybe chips, but definately a sandwich and a drink!
